I created a simple DOOM logo in Minecraft. This is the first time I've done anything like this, but I'm up for criticism, so Hurt Me Plenty!

Anyone else excited to see how VEGA is going to be utilized in Eternal?

Since the Slayer saved him from being completely erased, I'm wondering what they'll do with VEGA as far as story goes.

Mention of false idols in the Doom 2016 codex.

    Posted: 19 Jan 2020 04:57 PM PST

So this might be stretching it, but I can't draw pictures of the doomslayer, so I figured I'd post this discussion. In the new Doom Eternal trailer, the Marauder refers to the Doomslayer as a false idol. Looking through the codex entries from Doom 2016, I found this entry:

    Titan's Realm

After the disastrous Project Lazarus Manned Expedition (MTC 2145/128), it was decided to avoid Kadingir Sanctum until the environment was more conductive to human exploration. The second Project Lazarus Manned Expedition (MTC 2148/177) was changed to a new location - an area referred to as "the Great Steppe". The Corrax tablets describe this area in detail:

"Through the Titan's Realm and down, down to the Great Steppe where the trophies of victory are kept through the ages. Their false idols banished to a wasteland. Their towers fallen, their foundations ground to dust, their hallowed halls kept empty as cruel reminders that civilizations shall fall before the ascension of the great ones."

In this same area, you can see a statue of the Doomslayer along a pathway. I don't think there's any more significance to it, but it's cool that Doom Eternal clarifies that the Doomslayer is the false idol mentioned in the codex entry. Or maybe I'm reading too much into it, but it's fun either way.

    Send me an Angel

This is weirdly important to me: Will the slayer have to drive this mech to kill titans? If so I will be very very sad. I hope it's just a prop in a level or something, but the fact that it looks so much like the slayer makes me worry that it's his titan or something.... Thoughts?

Is the doom slayer a human?

    Posted: 19 Jan 2020 08:31 PM PST

Is the doom slayer the doom marine from doom n64? I watched a video that was pretty convincing that hes the same Space marine but in a different dimension, the more I play the game the more I kinda think this theory might be correct. I personally like him being a badass space marine that punched his CO more than some alien knight leader.

The reason I think hes still the same Marine is because the weapons too him seem familiar like hes used them before, not the same Version of the weapons he used in passed dooms but similar enough where hes comfortable using them and knows the basics of those weapons. What are your guys thoughts and theories, and do you like him better as a space marine or alien Knight templar.... or karl urban
